Flipping for the fun of it

Mac boys run to first place in the muck

Sep 9, 2013

(Photo by Marcus Larson/News-Register)  Willamina coach Ariah Fasana did not disappoint as he did a forward flip into the giant mud pool, barely missing the gag severed foot, during the Trask Mountain Assault Saturday at 5Rock Ranch. The annual event pits area middle school and high school cross country teams against one another in a fun and murky race. The McMinnville boys cross country team won the 5,000 Meters Varsity race. The team was led by the first place finish of Nic McDaniel with a time of 21:34.96. The Grizzlies also captured individual gold in the girls competition as Whitney Rich took the title with her run of 26:59.00.
