Evergreen flies in another 747 jet
Highway to be closed for an hour as 747 heads to resting place at the museum
Jun 4, 2013 |
(N-R staff) McMinnville's Highway 18 bypass will be closed from 5 to 6 a.m. on Sunday, June 9 so Evergreen International can tow a Boeing 747 cargo plane across the highway to the museum.
The plane landed Saturday. Before landing, the plane did a flyby, perhaps to get a good look at the runway, as shown in this video.
The jet is tentatively scheduled to go on display in front of the museum, according to Larry Wood, executive director of the museum.
