Fourth of July events and activities
Yamhill County and surrounding areas have tons of opportunities to celebrate Independence Day

McMinnville, Willamina and Lafayette are just a few places hosting Fourth of July celebrations.
The Willamina Festival will be filled with activities. There will be a Kiwanas breakfast at 7 a.m., a parade beginning at 6 p.m. and fireworks starting at dusk.
Lafayette will hold the Liberty Kids Bike Parade at 11 a.m., a Second Winds concert at 11:30 a.m. and a classic car show starting at 2 p.m.
In McMinnville, the Jaycees will hold its annual fireworks show at 10 p.m. in the Amity High football stadium. Food booths, vendors and live music will also take place starting at 3 p.m.
Oaks Park in Portland will once again host its July 4th Spectacular, a fireworks show complete with rides, music and food.
The Blues Festival spectacular, Oregon's largest fireworks display, will take place on the Waterfront in Portland.
Fireworks, cannons, food and music will all be present at the annual festival in Vancouver, Wash. as well.
If you're looking for an adult scene afterparty, stop by the Deluxe in McMinnville. Daikaiju, known for high energy performances and crazy antics, will perform a free show. King Ghidora, a local sonic surf rock band, will open the show beginning at 9 p.m.
