Youngs fed up with old story

I am sorry to hear the couple has had so many irresponsible kids destroying their property. In this latest case it appears the legal system is not working very well.

It appears he has problems obeying the law, perhaps some time behind bars will wake him up. Or community service cleaning gabage cans might wake him up.

The other irresponsible one who has an immigration hold on him, is he illegal by having the immigration hold on him? If so, his bus ticket should have fare to the southern border of the U.S. Time to close and secure the southern border.

The couple has had numerous kids who do not seem to care destroy their property. Perhaps their parents should join them in community service cleaning garbage cans. It just might possibly instill respect and courtesy in them...then again probably not.

well seem the MR just looking did his homework. How do you know if the kid is no legal here. I admit kid did wrong and he should paid with community service.

Community service for this young person is absolutly NOT the punishment recomended, IT WAS RECKLESS AND IRRESPOSILBLE BEHAVIOR THAT COULD HAVE KILLED SOMEONE !!! COULD HAVE KILLED ANOTHER HUMONBEING !!! SOME ONES DAUGHTER,SON,MOTHER,FATHER!!
This Garciam is how a logical person would think.

My question would be why do the Young's have any financial impact at all?. The liability for damage clearly falls on the vehicle owner (did she not have insurance?). The Young's should not pay a deductable and should find a rental car and bill the cost to the vehicle owners carrier. These are all costs that should be covered by the owner's liability policy.

PS..time to install some landscape boulders....

Just to clarify on the immigration status issue:
No-bail immigration holds are only placed when the suspect is believed to be in the country illegally. They can and often do result in deportation. Citizens and non-citizens with proper papers are not subject to holds by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

@garciam. I beg of you to never pull the race card again. With your statement, you put yourself at a lower level than the people that will argue with you about this. Immigrants aren't here to do the jobs citizens don't want, they are here to escape a social situation that most citizens can't imagine.@amotherof4. You are right! The food would get to your table, with or without illegal immigration, but believe me, it would suck the money right out of your wallet, and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want that during these financial times. What I mean by that is that people who work in the fields, earn less than minimum wage. That's why illegal immigrants tend to work there, they have no other choice, and American Citizens wouldn't be too happy earning less than minimum. Mississippi implemented anti-immigration laws last year, which dealt a big blow to the farming industry, because citizens and legal aliens don't want to or can't stand the working conditions. Don't believe me? Look it up. Also, don't EVER segregate America if you really love it, because that's what you did by claiming that Mexicans "don't get educated like the rest of America." First of all, education doesn't equal intelligence, and second, in all groups of people, there are intelligent and ignorant people, and your comment was smeared with ignorance. It's a shame that a select few Mexican youth weren't ever recognized, otherwise you'd know that students out of YOUR OWN local high school are receiving an education at some of Americas greatest institutions and are community leaders there (does Ivy League ring a bell?)And finally @Just Looking: If you know of a FEASIBLE way to secure the southern border, I recommend you let the Fed's know, you could win a prize or two.

With all that being said, I would like to call on all people of McMinnville to stop pulling the racial/immigration card, from both sides. I visit it once a year, and let me tell you, nothing compares the this beautiful small town, and it's depressing to see the discrimination that I witness, again from both sides!
What these kids did was wrong and very much against the law, like amotherof4 said, this incident could have been fatal, and their lack of common sense (which isn't common at all) was very irresponsible, but jail time isn't the answer. Society should be rehabilitated, not punished. Rehabilitation help plus community service seems like the best way to go, especially since these kids seem to have reoccurring issues, but then again, I'm no legal expert. So next time a similar incident occurs, hoping it doesn't, let's discuss the topic of matter, and not how this occurred because they were of a foreign background.
Also, these kids are legal adults, and it seems ridiculous to call upon their parents to be punished as well. Think about how ridiculous that sounds, think about it.

I agree with ZAID, after all, this incident has nothing to do with their race, not all young Hispanics do this kind of stuff and most are hard-working and dedicated people, don't judge all for the actions of a few - because we would not be happy to all be called ignorant and racist because of people like amotherof4 and Just Looking.

This story is NOT about legal or illegal immigration, it is a about a couple who has gone through something horrible - 4 times already!

I really do think that they should be required to clean up all the mess - but I agree with Hacksaw, auto and home insurance should cover their costs, and they should have a rental vehicle available - when you are not at fault, you should not have to pay deductible, and don't in most cases. But you still have a lot of work in getting things back to they way they were, and IF for any reason they do have expenses, sue those 2 little low-lives that made that mess!

Actually this story is about immigration since the 18 year old driver who caused the accident is in the country Illegally! I would say deport him ASAP but he'll just find a way to get back here. I do have a suggestion on how to fix the border issue. No benefits of any kind to any non citizen. Let's see how quickly the outflow exceeds the inflow. Also, how many jobs would that open up for high school and college kids looking for a few bucks for the summer?

first of all, legal does not mean citizen - people her on visas and permanent residents are NOT citizens but ARE legal. second of all, "illegals" don't qualify for benefits and I don't care if you don't believe me because I know it's a fact - they don't qualify for oregon health plan, they don't qualify for housing, they don't qualify for unemployment or social security - do your research.

also, visit your employment department to see how many jobs in ag are posted and how many of these high school and college students are applying for them - so many employers are suffering to get enough people to pick crops, etc - WHERE ARE THESE CITIZENS who are dying to find these jobs?????

I now can get all kinds of benefits, but I'm still in this country illegally. I do agree with your last point, however. Ignorance is truly what's wrong with this country.
