He also claimed that he voted against bringing the fast-track TransPacific Partnership (TPP) to a vote...moving it forward. Then the next day he voted for cloture taking the worst trade deal one step closer to giving the President exclusive authority to negotiate the deal in secret. I will never vote for Senator Wyden again. He lied to us and stabbed the American people in the back.

Mudstump:
Wyden was totally forthright and above-board on the trade agreement. He promised to join a GOP contingent in moving it forward in exchange for some concession on its end. When McConnell failed to deliver, he responded by reneging.
The next day, McConnell came through. Wyden then honored his end.
It's fine to feel the trade agreement is a travesty and oppose Wyden for embracing it, but it is not fair to accuse him of flip-flopping on it. He said he would support it on certain terms, and when the other party delivered on those terms, he made good on his promise.
Bad decision, maybe. Hypocrisy or deceit, none at all.
