Mr. Husseman,
The subhead of this article says that after beating Oregon City, the Grizzlies are within one game of the Class 6A state tournament. A call-out box on page A10 of the paper, with the conclusion of the story, says that McMinnville will next play Sunset in the first round of the Class 4A state playoffs. At the end of the article itself, it says that the Grizzlies will travel to Aloha on Saturday to face No. 6 Sunset for a second round game. So . . . I'm not that familiar with high school sports. Exactly what class are they in and in what round are they playing next?

There are five playoff rounds in OSAA Class 6A basketball: first round, second round, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. The last three are all played at the state tournament site (the Moda Center in Portland), while the first two rounds are traditionally hosted by the higher-seeded school in the playoff matchup. Hope that clears things up.
