Yamhill county does not need a county administrator nor a deputy county administrator. Nearly 1/2 million dollars compensates these two positions. We still pay three commissioners to be full time administrators of the county like they were for decades. These administrator positions were only created when two commissioners realized they could unload their responsibilities and still draw a full paycheck. The county ran much better when there was no administrator and the commissioners and department heads did their jobs. That $500,000 would fund a lot of badly needed services.
