It'sVern

I wanted to ride this afternoon. It being warm, i didn't want to deal with the 5pm last trip. I have to decide earlier in the day if i want to go somewhere. I got off Route 3 at Davis and Linfield Avenue. I wanted to walk over to Linfield Library. Oops, i walked too far, and ended up on Booth Bend Road, so i gave up going to the library. I walked from Stadium Road and Booth Bend to 99w. I was waiting for Route 3 to show up, and a friend stopped and gave me a ride to 5th street.
I had a nice sunburn on my neck and shoulders where my shirt didn't cover. I rode Route 3 back to McDaniel and 99w. I looked at Google Street View and saw Keck Drive goes from 99W to Stadium Road.
I didn't see it earlier, i saw Booth Bend and thought it was Keck.
I used to ride Route 1 to Roth, and walk to Keck Drive to the library.
I prefer to use college libraries. My next attempt will be Tuesday when i ride Route 3 to 7/11 and walk to my doctor from there. I'm glad my appointment is at 1:30. Plenty of time to get back to 5th street.

Everyone is feeling the pinch from the economy. Just be glad we still have a bus.

baffled&bewildered

I am glad the weather is nice and I can ride my bike or get off the route 3 bus and walk especially, when we have to sit and wait 15 minutes and listen to people gripe about the routes and service and changes, because drivers are ahead of schedule. It is so stressful taking the bus!!! My gratitude is minimal at best, but I do have hope County Administrator, Laura Tschabold, will hold the Commissioners, Tonya Saunders, and all transit parties involved accountable for fixing what has been severely broken, taking into consideration of course, factual information, and the economic/budget climate.
