Shooting reported in Yamhill; no danger to public, police say

YAMHILL — A shooting was reported late Saturday night in Yamhill, Yamhill Police and the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office confirmed. The incident does not involve risk to the general public, Yamhill Chief Greg Graven said.

Capt. Tim Svenson said his agency was assisting with the help of one detective, but Yamhill Police Department is the lead agency in the investigation. Carlton police, Oregon State Police and the Yamhill County District Attorney's Office also are involved.
