Sherwood woman found dead at Bald Peak State Park

NEWBERG -- The woman who was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Tuesday afternoon in Bald Peak State Park, north of Newberg, has been identified as Monica Gotter, 55, of Sherwood, according to the Oregon State Police.
A dog walker spotted the body and called 911. Yamhill County Sheriff's Office deputies and Oregon State Police troopers responded. OSP Senior Trooper Bridget Taylor was the lead investigator.
Gotter's vehicle was found nearby.
