Safe Kids Fair set for 27th
Juliettes's House, a McMinnville-based child abuse assessment center, is hosting its annual free Safe Kids Fair on Saturday, April 27.
Children are encouraged to bring their bikes or skateboards to the McMinnville Police Department's Safety Rodeo, participate in games, activities and giveaways, and pick up a range of health and safety skills.
The event falls in National Child Abuse Prevention Month, which is being supported by an array of local businesses. They have put up blue pinwheels to mark the occasion and highlight the cause.
The McMinnville Kiwanis Club, older and larger of two in town, is supporting the event by supplying a Putt-Putt Golf venue and donating free helmets for the first 200 board or bike riders under the age of 8.
The fair is set to run 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the center, 1075 S.W. Cedarwood Ave. It's just off Baker Street toward the south end of town.
