Outstanding citizens to be honored

The event also will honor Karin Moshier as Junior First Citizen, Dave Larson as Outstanding Young Educator and Aren Hinely as Outstanding Young Farmer.

The DSA committee announced the names Friday so friends and supporters could make plans to attend the honors banquet. It will run from 6 to 9 p.m. in the McMinnville Grand Ballroom.

Rogers is a longtime McMinnville resident who taught and worked as a counselor at McMinnville High School. He also has been involved with Boy Scouts for many years.

Christianson is a retired Air Force first sergeant who has worked drug interdiction programs and the Yamhill County Interagency Narcotics Team. In addition to operating her own local business, she serves as community liaison with Linfield College’s international programs office.

Moshier is an attorney with Haugeberg, Reuter, Gowell, Fredricks & Higgins. Larson teaches science, technology, engineering and math, and coaches robotics teams at Duniway and Patton middle schools. Hinely is owner and operator of the Yamhill River Farm.
