That shouldn't stop the News Register from canvassing the neighborhood to talk to witnesses.

Scales issued an afternoon press release summarizing the series of events, It concluded, “No further information will be available surrounding this incident.”

Is it legal for him to refuse to tell the citizens of McMinnville the name of the officer who killed the dog? What investigative evidence is available that allows him to so confidently say that the dog owner is lying? Is it legal for him to just basically say "and we aint talkin' any more about it?"

Silly me--and here I bought into how we all are considered "shareholders." Would anyone care to buy my stock? I'm unloading it for 10 cents on the dollar.

Why is the chief so afraid of releasing the name of the officer who saved the neighborhood from this vicious black lab? Why did it take a ‘veteran officer with years of experence’ three shots to kill a dog two feet away from the officer? What is the reasoning behind ‘No further infomation will be available surrounding this incident ? What is Scales afraid of coming to light? Too many questions, and don’t tell me I don’t have a right to ask.
