Linfield VP moving to OSU
Ford has been at Linfield for six years. He has overseen the renovation of T.J. Day Hall and other buildings, and worked to improve communication in the budget process.
In addition to his job at the school, he has been serving on the boards of the Oregon 529 College Savings Network, the West Coast College Consortium, Pioneer Educators Health Trust and the Willamette Valley Medical Center.
He plans to begin his new duties at OSU on July 8, succeeding longtime VP Mark McCambridge, who is retiring. OSU President Ed Ray said he “has the experience and vision to continue that success as the university moves forward.”
Ford will oversee budgeting, fiscal planning, business affairs, business services, special events, facilities services, human resources and public safety. He will also advise Ray on financial matters.
Before coming to Linfield, he served as vice president for business and finance at Utah State University. Earlier in his career, he worked at Washington State University and the University of Idaho, his alma mater.
