The Tea Party may not be compared to the actual Boston Tea Party but is as close to that as the Democrats are to democracy. The wise people always say that to find out who the libtards are afraid of just look to see who they demonize the most. They have demonized Palin, Paul, Cruz and more people in order to socialize this country as never before. While they spin their evil webs the libtards can only sell the country on Obamacare, Benghazi, IRS spying, international spying and other horrible behaviors they must lie in order to sell their silly and rather stupid ideas. They believe the lies about the Tea Party because Big Brother has told them lies and the mis-informed buy the lies and spread them thinking it is the "right" thing to do. There are people who accept everyone under their gigantic tent, want to return this country over to the people that believe in personal responsibility, individual freedom and the right to remain free of the drastic government controls espoused by Obama and his freak Biden and the woman who said "we must pass it to find out what's in it". What probably bothers me the most about Tony and Charles' thoughts are that they are the liberal talking points and they obviously would give up their freedom for free health care that isn't free, take away the ability for good Americans to defend themselves and give away what so many wonderful American people have died for. We are the greatest and most benevolent nation in history and these two are trying to change it. Shame on them for not reading history.

"Libtards"
"evil"

Interesting judgments. For the record, the progressive folks I am acquainted with bear no resemblance to such harsh characterizations. Nor do we believe "lies" about the Tea Party. We see what those people do, and form opinions based on their actions. (Like a pointless government shutdown that cost untold billions of dollars and put many hard-working Americans out of work, for example.) And we listen - first hand - to inflammatory divisive rhetoric and we are quite able to draw our own conclusions. Politicians like Palin and Cruz demonize themselves. Absolutely no need for the press to "spin" it for anyone.

Speaking of lies and spin, I would guess that much of what was written above this comment was likely informed by a media outlet that rhymes with "pox." The very "journalists" who went to court and proved they had the LEGAL RIGHT to lie to their viewers. How ironic.

There is no doubt our government needs some serious overhaul. What a shame that "we the people" can't seem to find a way to work together and make that happen.

"The real threat is not the Affordable Care Act or the Obama presidency". Both a disaster and designed to destroy this country.

"LEGAL RIGHT to lie to their viewers". What about the President who continues to lie to the American people?

Mr. Strong wrote, "our founders" did not dump tea into the Boston harbor"

But one of them did, so does that count?

One of the ringleaders of the rebels that did dump 342 chests of tea into the harbor was Samuel Adams. Not only did he sign the Declaration of Independence, and serve in Congress, but his manifesto spoke of 'natural rights' ( life and liberty). Thomas Jefferson incorporated those terms into the Declaration of Independence.in

If Sam Adams doesn't qualify as 'a founder', someone is setting the bar a little high -- apparently to argue a partisan position. Isn't there enough of that already?
