Juliette's House promoting child abuse prevention month
Signs are being distributed with the blue and silver pinwheels, an element of the national campaign Pinwheels for Prevention. The pinwheel was selected as an uplifting reminder of childhood and the bright futures all children deserve.
Other ways to help they are asking businesses to display a blue bucket filled with candy, informational bookmarks and fliers, post prevention information on social media sites, on readerboards or in newsletters, and to paint pinwheels on their windows. include purchasing pinwheel lapel pins from Juliette's House for $5, or making Partner in Prevention donations of $10, $25 or $50.
At the end of the month, the 15th annual Safe Kids Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Juliette's House, 1075 S.W. Cedarwood Ave. It will include community partners offering various activities, a safety rodeo for bikes, skateboards and scooters, free helmets for the first 200 children age 8 and under.
