He said shelter residents will receive bus passes for members of their families as well as themselves if they participate. “We hope that these items will motivate individuals to make sure and be counted,” he said.
Volunteers are required to participate in a training session. However, there is still time to sign up, as a training session is 6:30 tonight at Youth Outreach, 719 E. First St. in Newberg.
Drop-in sites will be open at various times and locations in the county. They include 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., McMinnville Cooperative Ministries, 544 N.E. Second St.; noon to 6 p.m., St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 822 S.W. Second St., McMinnville; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Youth Outreach, 719 E. First St., Newberg; River Street Church of God, 715 S. River St., Newberg; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Amity Assembly of God Church, 310 Getchell Ave.; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Joseph’s Storehouse, 500 E. Main St., Carlton; and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Grand Sheramina Food Pantry, 120 N. Bridge St., Sheridan.
