Grizzlies brave Sandy, weather

SANDY – Down 5-3 and coming off a 20-minute rain delay, the McMinnville baseball team rallied.

Lane Hessel sparked the Grizzlies with an RBI single in the fourth inning, plating McAnally. Later on, Kade Mechals reached on a Sandy (0-1) error that allowed Ryan Dix to score for the game’s tying run.

Senior Jacob Bannister put McMinnville ahead for good in the fifth inning with a sacrifice bunt that allowed Sam Swenson to score. In the seventh inning, McAnally singled in Swenson for insurance.
