Drug raid staged across from Dayton High

In the course of the search, team members discovered about three ounces of methamphetamine, more than $1,000 in cash, packaging materials, pain pills and other evidence of drug activity.

They arrested three suspects, according to Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Ray, who oversees the drug team. He identified them Marq Timothy Williams, 45; Kimberley Lynne Williams, 27,  and Lyndsey Marie Morehouse, 26.

Marq Williams was charged with one count each of possession of a controlled substance/methamphetamine and delivery of a controlled substance/meth within 1,000 feet of a school. Bail was set at $1 million.

Kimberley Williams was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance/meth. Bail was set at $500,000.

Morehouse was lodged without bail on a probation violation.

“The warrant service was carefully planned to minimize the possibility that students would be in the area,” Ray said. “The service went smoothly and there was no impact to the school. We are very pleased with the fact we were able to shut this drug house down.”

Dayton School District Superintendent Janelle Beers said the high school staff was kept abreast of YCINT’s activity.

“We don’t want that type of thing anywhere, but we really don’t want it close to a school,” she said.

“That is not good. I’m very pleased they took care of it.”

Students were released from school at 3 p.m., the normal time, so there was no impact on bus schedules, according to Beers.

Sheriff Jack Crabtree said drug activity near a school is always a priority.

“As I have said before, people place themselves at the top of our priority list by dealing drugs near schools and kids,” he said. “Hopefully, the result of this warrant is an improvement in the quality of life in this neighborhood.”
