Cyclist struck in Amity

The boy, whose identity was withheld by Amity police, was transported by McMinnville Fire Department ambulance to the Willamette Valley Medical Center with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Officer James Clark said a 17-year-old boy, whose identity was also withheld, was eastbound on Nursery in a Jeep Wrangler. He struck the bicyclist, also westbound on Nursery, when he initiated a left turn onto Oak.

Clark said the older boy would be cited for failure to yield and improper left turn.

Odd that Amity City Hall declined to comment in person.
