We're blessed that these types of cases get the attention they deserve. Thankfully, many inmates don't consider Messers Daily, Thompson and the rest of the human debris involved, to be their peers and as such, jury deliberations, judgment and sentencing within correctional facilities have more leeway in dispensing the type of justice that so many mitigating factors have marginalized the bench from upholding. It's hard to believe anyone would fault a judge for taking a riding crop to the hind end of a horse so that a Thompson or Daily could swing from a tree. It isn't Alonzo Skinners courthouse anymore.
