County to get new website

County Information Systems Director Murray Paolo said the new platform supporting the site would allow individual departments to add, remove or update features as needed, thus be more responsive to the public.

Paolo credited county desktop support specialist Adam Greene for taking the initiative, featuring tools to make the pages easier to navigate.

Greene said the county site was “a maze citizens had to readjust to” as they clicked through the various pages.

He said the new site, to go live around mid-month, features a uniform look. Each page includes the department location, hours and contact information in the upper right-hand corner.

In other business commissioners:

n Approved a new county investment policy developed by Treasurer Mike Green.

n Announced County Administrator Laura Tschabold will be out on medical leave starting July 9. Deputy County Administrator Chuck Vesper will serve in her stead.

Yay Adam! Thank you!

Oh no! Change is bad! I have always found the Yamhill County website extremely easy to navigate, and very user friendly.... I hope I will still be able to find things once the change is implemented. Yikes!
