City of Willamina employee cited for DUII

Riggs, 29, of 34543 Buck Hollow Road, Sheridan, will remain on paid duty, according to City Recorder Sue Hollis. She said he was off duty at the time of the incident.

He was released on his own recognizance after undergoing booking at the Yamhill County Jail.  He was cited to appear in circuit court.

Riggs was sitting in a 2010 Jeep Wrangler at Blackwell Park, located off Willamina Creek Road, when he was contacted by Yamhill County sheriff’s deputy Will Lavish, according to Capt. Tim Svenson. County parks close at dark, so the deputy had cause to check on the vehicle, Svenson said.
