In my opinion, someone simply doesn't like beer.

Yamhill county promotes agri-tourism at the expense of local farmers and residents. Many of us made the choice to live in a rural environment...we left the city because we wanted peace of mind, safety and a sense of control over our daily lives. The general public doesn't always respect the land or the people who live out here. Add alcohol and they become a nuisance and a danger on our roads. Nothing prevents folks from growing their product in the country and then opening a tasting room or pub in town. Will the county allow marijuana growers to open on-site vaping rooms too? Do we need more impaired drivers on the road?

Mudstump, "at the expense of local farmers? residents? How so? How does this activity monetarily impact farmers and residents? And what proof do you have? Are you saying all retail and or commercial activities should be restricted out of city limits? I guess I don't understand why you want to prevent someone from making a living on the property of their choosing because you disagree with it. You may have moved to rural property for your own reasons but I don't think its your place to say how others should be using theirs.
"...and a sense of control over our daily lives"
Whos trying to control who?

Shasta - "How does this activity monetarily impact farmers and residents?"

I didn't mention a monetary impact did I?

Shasta - "You may have moved to rural property for your own reasons but I don't think its your place to say how others should be using theirs."

I am a resident of Yamhill county and a property owner who has invested in this county and contributed to the local community....yeah...it is "my place" to say whatever I want about the subject.

Mudstump -- you wrote -- "The general public doesn't always respect the land or the people who live out here."

If you wish to witness disrespect for rural landowmers, just peruse the sordid history of the local 'land nazis', otherwise known as friends of Yamhill County.
