All day jam set at Morning Thunder
Breakfast and lunch eatery Morning Thunder is hosting a full day of music and entertainment on Saturday at The Courtyard, 619 NE Third St., in downtown McMinnville.
The “spectacular” begins at 9 a.m. with local ukulele outfit, The Maculeles, followed by Duncan Reid. A late addition to the festivities, Sol Seed, a regional reggae fusion band, will play a set beginning at 11:30 a.m. (The group also plays that night at the Mac Club.) The afternoon will be filled with sounds from InAchord, Run Come Tell That, Moonlight Jam and Rebel Reggae Hour, as well as a performance by the Kung Fu Mountain Warriors.
Headlining is Vivid Curve, a didgeridoo-led jazz-jam trio known in McMinnville for its frequent participation in the UFO Festival. The group is set to take the stage at 5:30 p.m.
An evening of dancing is expected to follow, with festivities concluding at 9 p.m.
All ages are welcome to participate in the event, which celebrates the restaurant’s one-year anniversary. Beer and wine will be served from 2 to 9 p.m.
