SHERWOOD - A Lafayette man was killed Sunday night in a two-vehicle head-on crash on Southwest Roy Rogers Road, south of Bull Mountain road, in rural Sherwood.

Deputies gave this account:

Shortly before 7 p.m., Michels was driving a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria northbound on Roy Rogers Road when he crossed the centerline and collided with a southbound 2013 Nissan Sentra driven by Maria Cervantes-Acero, 66, of Newberg.
