Police find 2 bodies in Springfield home

PORTLAND — Police discovered two bodies after serving a search warrant at a home in Springfield, Oregon.

Sgt. Rich Charboneau said the home was searched early Wednesday, hours after a man who lives there with his parents called 9-1-1 and asked for a police negotiator.

Officers found the man bleeding and took him to a hospital with minor injuries.

Officers had gone to the house Monday after an out-of-state relative said he couldn't reach the family. A note on the door said the family was out of town.

Police have yet to confirm the bodies are those of the man's missing parents.

The son remained in the hospital Wednesday morning. No charges have been filed.
