Grizzlies safe at home against Olys

With David Brosius on the mound and Sam Swenson at the plate, McMinnville baseball is a confident team.

Brosius scattered three hits and two walks, striking out five, in a complete-game pitching performance and Swenson went 3-for-3 with three RBIs as the Grizzlies defeated Sprague, 5-1, in Friday's Class 6A Greater Valley Conference contest at the McMinnville baseball field at Patton Middle School.

Zach Rhoads went 2-for-4 with a run and Cameron Fox doubled for the Grizzlies, who improved to 2-0 in GVC play (8-2 overall) with the result. Kyle Casey hit an RBI single to score Fox in the sixth inning for the game's final run.
