Minor injuries reported in South McMinnville crash

A two-vehicle crash Thursday morning at the intersection of South Baker Street and Linfield Avenue in McMinnville only resulted in minor injuries.

Two people sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning at the interseection of South Baker Street and Linfield Avenue.

Capt. Dennis Marks of the McMinnville police gave this account:

Richard Allen Propp, 84, of McMinnville, was driving a 1989 Ford minivan southbound on Baker. When he made a left turn onto Linfield Avenue, his vehicle was struck by a northbound 2006 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Julianna Jean Lasslett, 31, of  Amity.

The impact caused the minivan to roll onto its side, and McMinnville Fire Department personnel had to extricate Propp.

He was driven by private vehicle to the Willamette Valley Medical Center, and cited for making a dangerouus left turn. Laslett was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

The crash partially closed the intersection for more than an hour.
