McMinnville 152-pound wrestler J.T. Barnes closes in on the pin Thursday vs. Matt McCarthy of Newberg. Barnes pinned McCarthy with 52 seconds left in the first round. Mac defeated the Tigers 45-28 in the dual meet, the first time the Grizzlies have won vs. Newberg since Dec. 12, 1980. Before that, you have to go to the 1950s to find the last time Mac beat the Tigers.
